Primary 6 Math
We use the introduction of Algebra at this level to equip students with an alternative strategy towards problem solving, as this hinges very heavily on the Abstract Stage in the CPA Approach.
Topics introduced at Primary 5 will also be covered in depth at this level – Fractions, Decimals, Ratio, Percentage and Geometry. New topics such as Area & Perimeter of Circles, Speed and Solid Geometry conclude the syllabus for Mathematics.
By the end of the year, students would also be equipped with the full range of Heuristics such as Restating the Question, Logical Reasoning and Forming Algebraic / Simultaneous Equations — all of which are useful techniques to to help them better tackle challenging questions at the PSLE.
